First West End appearance. Age 22. The White Devil by John Webster, with Robert Helpmann, Margaret Rawlings and Martita Hunt at the Duchess Theatre.
As Golda Meir in ME by C P Taylor. Citizens Theatre, Glasgow.
After ENSA my first job in 1945. I was an "extra" in the film HONEYMOON HOTEL.
With Kenneth Williams in THE BUCCANEER. Lyric, Hammersmith and Apollo Theatre.
Peter and I performed our adaptation of William Gibson's play GOLDA for 8 years.
With Judi Dench in CABARET at the Palace Theatre. 1968.

As Lady Hamilton in THE HERO RISES UP by John Arden and Margaretta Darcy.. Edinburgh Festival and Nottingham Playhouse.
As Golde in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. With Topol. I played the part 4 times.
As the Empress of Morocco in the Pantomime TURN AGAIN WHITTINGTON at the Palladium, with Norman Wisdom and Yana.

As Goneril in KING LEAR. Directed by Jonathan Miller. Michael Hordern was Lear. Nottingham Playhouse and National Theatre at the Old Vic.
As the Mother in YOURS ANNE, a version of the Diary of Anne Frank with music. Manchester Library Theatre.
FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY at the Apollo Theatre for 2 years. With Hugh Paddick. We mixed up the evenings...he was playing Romeo and I was Lady Macbeth!!
As the Queen in THE SLEEPING BEAUTY Pantomime at the Palladium. With Charlie Drake and Bruce Forsyth. Mother helps me with my make-up in the Dressing Room, Dad can be seen through the mirror.
Peter and I did a cooking series on TV called THE BETTER HALF
