This has been another busy, happy year. There is a very popular TV series called DAD’S ARMY made 50 years ago. 3 of the episodes were wiped, but they had the scripts and re-made them in March with a new cast. I was lucky enough to have a small part in one of the episodes—they were broadcast in August.

In July I appeared at The Pheasantry in my one woman show THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT. That is all I did professionally but I had some memorable hoidays. In June a glorious week in Corfu with my beloved nephew Meir. In October a marvellous visit to Bulgaria, and November a sunny, love-filled 2 weeks in Israel. My eldest great-grand-daughter Hadassah, is getting married. I have family and friends there who make a great fuss of me.

On my 94th birthday I celebrated with other Old Girls from the Leeds Girls’ High School (I left in 1939!) and my friend Joyce Rae made a lovely lunch party for me. On other occasions I went to Cambridge for a wonderful day with my German friends, Axel, Kerstin and Alice Anders. Alice was graduating from the University. And I flew to Glasgow to see my dear friends from India, Doctors Shefali and Janak Desai—Janak was being honoured by the Royal College of Surgeons in a ceremony at Glasgow University.

In August Yasmin and I went on a most enjoyable coach trip to the West Country, which included a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon, a ride on a Steam Train, an exploration of a Safari Park, and a drive through the beautiful black and white villages. During the year I had 2 unforgettable, great days next door at the All England tennis, and several other outings.

I feel great and am already making plans for my 95th birthday next March. So it is all good.
